Elevate Ninja Zone

About us

Elevate Sports Center, nestled in Eagle Mountain, Utah, is a family-operated gymnastics facility. It was the brainchild of Preston Thygesen, who conceptualized it in late 2018 after relocating his family from West Jordan to Eagle Mountain. With over 15 years of experience aiding numerous Utah gyms in areas ranging from business infrastructure to public-facing imaging, Preston’s expertise is wide-ranging. Additionally, his contribution to higher education extends over five years, where he enriched the lives of both young people and adults.

This is the best gymnastics program we have been in. We tried two other places in Utah County and neither were anywhere as welcoming and high quality as Elevated. Pricing is the same level as others in the area but this is the first place we've gone that doesn't make it feel like a business. We have tried a few different classes over the past year and a half and all were top notch. Both my kids are now in the ninja program and adore Coach Ryan Rose. He is an excellent coach who makes them feel good about themselves while still pushing them to improve. If we need to do a makeup class (it is really easy to excuse absences and schedule makeups all online) then they insist Ryan has to be teaching it. The front office is easy to work with and other coaches have all been great. The facilities are clean. There is a variety of equipment and the kids are working on new skills all the time. Class sizes are small and each kid gets a lot of attention. Elevated cares about the kids and it shows. I recommend this gym to everyone, even when they live closer to other gyms we tried!

This business pays attention to reviews, and acts to improve their business. They demonstrate care for customers and provide activities that kids enjoy and grow from.Original review: "No reception for new students, parents are ignored. Really weird for a business to act like you shouldn't be there."I am updating based on the businesses effort in reaching out and seeking to improve and address issues through introspection and communication.

I have all 3 of my boys enrolled in Ninja Zone. My youngest just started and I was so worried because he has a significant speech delay and has never had any formal class before. The teachers have been so amazing with him and he is loving it! Such a positive and fun environment

A few weeks ago, we started our 5 year old in the girls gymnastics program. Her coach is very positive and helps her work on specific skills. Each week my daughter is ecstatic to go to her class. She loves the challenge and the great environment.

Why Gymnastics?

General Health

Participation in gymnastics helps children become physically active, and stay fit and healthy. Taking part in any exercise significantly reduces the risk of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes in adulthood. As of 2010, one in three children in the United States was overweight, and the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports states that “encouraging moderate and vigorous physical activity among youth is important,” as the habits learned as a child are often carried through to adulthood. Regular participation can teach children how to live a healthy lifestyle, and remain involved in the sport as they grow up.

Social Skills

Partaking in gymnastics can help children sleep better, and equip them with skills to better handle physical and emotional challenges in life. Attending a regular gymnastics class provides young children with the opportunity to communicate with people their own age, work within a team, and engage with adults. Elevate also believes that gymnastics gives children an opportunity to learn about social skills like listening, following directions, taking turns, being quiet, and respecting others. Children also have fun, meet new friends, and learn independence.

Commitment & Discipline

The challenging nature of gymnastics requires commitment and concentration. The structure of gymnastics lessons teaches children how hard work and dedication pays off. Positive experiences in gymnastics can build confidence through achievement, and illustrates to children that commitment to sport benefits them. Rules and codes of conduct in gymnastics help children learn the importance of rules for safety, and teach respect towards others.
